We have recently begun to solicit advertising so you may get a call from us. We appreciate your time and courtesy.
Regarding some of your questions:
We receive an average of 2000 hits and 700 visits per week. (June 2007)
We are ranked well on the major search engines, i.e. Google, Yahoo, MSN.
We do not and will not collect any information about our visitors. We do not engage in data mining of any sort.
This site was purposely designed to be safe for consumers. Therefore, we do not use any client-side scripting, e.g. Javascript, VBScript, or any server-side scripting, e.g. Perl, PHP, ASP, CFM, on this site. We do not set Cookies, use SID's or even have any HTML forms.
Due to this we can not accomodate any desire you have for MLM, SEO, CRM, CPM, MOUSE, etc..
But as a consumer you probably would like to look at a site, without feeling like you are being watched.
Our current rate is a flat $30 for three months.
We started building the site in April 05. We finished in August 05 at which point we submitted to the search engines. The site was ranked well in December after the standard 4 month 'sandbox' period.
Our hits have been going up every week from an inital few hundred per week to now approaching two thousand.
Our articles and business listings are targetted to parents, homeowners and consumers in 6 towns, namely:
- Bedford
- Billerica
- Burlington
- Chelmsford
- Tewksbury
- Wilmington
Other directories serve much larger areas. That is why our site is easier to use. It is a simple trade off between quality and quantity.
The genesis of the site was our frustration, shared by many others, of not being able to find basic information on the internet. Anecdotally, I recently was trying to find prices on something. Spent ten minutes looking through the search engines. Finally I found a site that listed prices. I wrote down the necessary information. But something strange caught my eye. Looking further, I realized I did in fact have accurate prices, if I wished to purchase the product in Uzbekistan.
