Skin-Care Made Easy
Do you know that there are 5 essential components to good skin-care? These are: Cleanse, Exfoliate, Freshen, Moisturize and Protect. You should follow all of these steps twice a day, every day. Sound complicated? It doesn't have to be.
There are products that satisfy the first three steps in one simple cleanser!
Many people do not moisturize, because they feel it's not necessary, or that their skin is 'too oily' or 'too blemish-prone' for moisturizers. This is not true. I know because I thought that too! Everyone's skin is different… You just need to find the right product(s) for your skin type. Even those of us with 'oily' or 'blemish-prone' skin need to moisturize.
The 'Protect' component is satisfied by using a foundation that is customized for your skin type, skin tone, and which is a good weight for your comfort-level. Many women do not use a foundation, because they feel it is only for 'covering' flaws and blemishes, or they feel it looks too unnatural or 'cakey'. Again, if you can find the right type of foundation for you, it can help to protect your skin from environmental harm. Along with foundation, you should also protect your skin daily from the harmful rays of the sun, by using a skin-care product that includes an SPF of at least 15. This should be done even if you are not 'spending the day in the sun', and even in Winter months.
