For Your Child's Good (And Your Own) ? Get Involved!

Decades of studies have shown that children, whose parents are involved in their education, do better academically. Probably similar statements could be made about any activities in which your child is involved, such as sports or the arts.

At school, you can get involved by helping in your child's classroom or school library, by volunteering at special events, or by participating in the PTO. In sports, you can be a coach, assist your child's coaches in some way, or just be a consistent and positive presence at games and practices. If your child is a dancer, musician or painter, attend their recitals, learn about their instrument or favorite style of music, or take them to art exhibits.
