Council on Aging Services
Most towns have a Council on Aging, or similar organization. As our population ages, and more families are caring for elderly family members, this type of organization can be a valuable resource.
Some of the services offered by the Billerica Council on Aging include:
- Referral to needed services
- Respite/companion care
- Nutrition and Meals, including meals-on-wheels
- Senior Citizen Tax Relief Work Program
- Medicare and health insurance information
- Recreation activities
- Basic health screenings and flu clinics
- Benefits analysis
There are several ways you can help support your Council on Aging, by donating your time as a volunteer, or contributing financially such as through the ?Friends of the COA?.
