Deck Dull and Dingy?
Is your deck looking dull and dingy? Maybe you're thinking you need a new one, maybe you're thinking you need to hire someone to power wash it. Think again. This is a fairly simple project that you may want to do yourself.
You can purchase deck cleaning solution at your local hardware store. Make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions. You may want to purchase a pressure washer to apply it, or you can just apply it with rags or brushes. You will also need stiff brushes to scrub the deck after the solution has set for about ten minutes. After the scrubbing, just rinse. You may need to repeat the process on particularly dirty areas.
Once your deck is clean, you may even decide to stain it. This project also is not high on the difficulty list. You will need a day or two of good, dry weather, some stain, some brushes, and several hours of your time.
