Why Not Hire a Handyman?
If you are like most of us, you have an ever-growing 'To-Do' list of things that you don't have time to do! Most of these are seemingly 'small' jobs ? Fix the railing, fix the doorknob, repair the back steps, paint the bathroom? it can go on and on?
If you are a homeowner, there is always something to be done. Unfortunately, once you have five or six 'small' jobs on your list, it suddenly seems like a big project. And, if you have other responsibilities, kids, a job, a business of your own, that list does not take high priority.
These 'small' jobs are probably not things for which you would hire an electrician, a plumber, or even a carpentry contractor. And those types of contractors would probably put you on a long waiting list, for some rainy day when they don't have bigger and better things to do.
So, what can you do? There seems to be a growing number of 'handymen' out there, who thrive on taking care of your to-do list! Often a handyman will even come to your home to do just one small job (I'm sure you've heard the phrase 'No job too small'!) However, it is probably in your best interest to prepare a list for him and review it ahead of time. He may be able to come to your home with most of the tools and materials needed, and take care of your entire to-do list in a day or two.
