When to Plant Your Garden Flowers

There are different times of year to plant different types of flowers in your garden. While the right time is determined primarily by the season, you must also take into consideration the current weather conditions in your area.

Spring-flowering bulbs should be planted in the fall. In general, perennials (including wildflowers) should be planted in the spring, after any danger of frost. Most annuals should be planted in spring, once the day time temperatures are consistently warm (70 degrees or higher).

Check with your local garden center, or a landscape professional for additional tips and information.
